60010 passes Howsham with 6E41 Westerleigh - Lindsey on the 29th of June 2010, after a agonising wait for nearly 35 minutes with the sun playing 'hide behind the floater' it was a relief when this passed in pretty strong light, when freshly painted the EW&S examples of the 60 fleet looked quite smart but are now looking in a worse state than the original two tone grey examples
60011 makes a impressive sight as it roars along with its rake of discharged bogie tanks on the 3rd of June 2011, seen passing just south of Lydney with 6B47 Westereleigh - Robeston, thankfully the many floaters above stayed well clear of the sun
With the weather forecast set fair for the evening of the 31st of May 2011 i decided to head to Purton for a shot which i've tried on several occasions but never succeeded at, on arrival the cloud was breaking and all was looking good, unfortunately a unexpected layer of thin cloud pushed across the sun and darkened the scene just as 6B47 Westerleigh - Robeston was due, but thankfully 60011 and its rake of tanks was running around 1 hour late and with around 5 minutes to spare the light improved substantially and my heart could be removed from my mouth, Result!

60011 skirts the River Severn at Gatcombe on the 21st of April 2011 in charge of a short 6B13 Robeston - Westerleigh, due to the settled area of high pressure which has been prominant for well over a week to this date the visibility as can clearly be seen is appaling! When looking straight up it was clear blue sky and no cloud to be seen anywhere
As the sun battles through the evening haze 60011 approaches Chepstow with 6B47 Westerleigh - Robeston on the 19th of April, the DB Schenker livery really is eye catching but at this point in time this 60 looks filthy and in need of a damn good wash!

So glad that this one paid off as my next encounter with this loco it had been painted in DB Schenker red

60013 approaches Pilning on the 7th of April 2011 with 6B33 Theale - Robeston, one of the best things about this working is the vast amount of different tank types and liveries used and always seem to get shuffled pretty well from one day to the next

60019 passes Elford with 6E08 Wolverhampton - Immingham empty steel carriers on the 11th of October 2010, as is usual when the RHTT season comes around class 60's can find themselves on workings that at other times of the year would be a pretty rare appearance

Through the early morning gloom 60048 makes a change from the regular shed on 6O26 Hinksey - Eastleigh engineers, after being reported north of Didcot with only 4 flats in tow it was nice to see that the tug had picked up a real mixed bag at Didcot en route. 8th of October 2010

The 10th of November 2010 was forecast to be a clear blue day so with that in mind what could go wrong in my hunt for 60063? Late running! Originally camped at Undy I was forced to move to Severn Tunnel Junction, with the sun just hanging on the front it still turned out ok
60071 makes light work of its consist of empty tanks whilst working 6B33 Theale - Robeston on the 29th of September 2011 as it passes Shrivenham
60071 slowly rounds the curve at Undy to await its booked stop just West of Severn Tunnel Junction with 6B13 Robeston - Westerleigh loaded fuel tanks, with the trees and the houses in the background turning decidedly shadowy it was only moments until it was lights out! 14th of September 2011
Its always a gamble going to a location specifically for one working especially with it being a 80 mile round trip and the journey mainly undertaken in cloud cover! But on the 22nd of September 2010 when 60071 dropped onto 7C28 Exeter Riverside - Westbury it just had to be done, the preceding HST had passed in brightness but thankfully by the time the 'Tug' appeared it couldn't of been better, good times!

Elusive grey 'Tug' 60084 is put to good use while working 6B33 Theale - Robeston through Ram Hill on the 23rd of March 2011, with no reports of the train for nearly 2 hours fear was growing in the gallery that it wasn't going to show up, but the sound of a deep thumping noise in the distance laid all fears to rest, towards the rear cab door evidence of the previous operator can be seen in the shape of a small red stripe which was part of the Transrail livery

60096 rumbles through Patchway on the 19th of May 2011 with 6B33 Theale - Robeston, if all class members were as reliable as this one i'm sure more of them would still be in traffic but instead its the same pool of around 20 examples on constant rotation, with a refurbishment plan currently under way for part of the fleet there is some hope for the future of the last major British built diesel locomotive
Filthy yet very reliable 60096 storms through Coedkernew working 6B13 Robeston - Westerleigh on the 12th of May 2011, due to engineering work taking place on the up and down relief lines this working was guaranteed to use the main which provides a much more pleasing angle
With only about 5 minutes left before the sun dipped behind the hill side for the evening 60096 thumps south near Lydney on the 6th of April 2011 with 6B47 Westerleigh - Robeston, such a shame this loco is filthy as a clean loco would have been stunning in such light
Finally the sun breaks through the high level 'squiff' and vapour trails from jets above as 60096 heads a shortened 6B13 Robeston - Westerleigh through Gatcombe on the 6th of April 2011, 5 minutes before this appeared a group of 'orange men' appeared in the foreground to finish the constuction of the new crossing, thankfully they were very obliging and crossed to the opposite side out of view when trains passed!
